I do remember having the thought that the dirty little secret we don’t tell our kids is that at the end of the day they are all very likely to end up spending most of their day farting around with Excel or entering data or making PowerPoints or answering emails or something else equally as mind numbingly boring. And I say this as someone who was a diplomat. I wrote a lot of emails, wrote some speeches and made PowerPoints. Most peoples lives aren’t all that extraordinary. Sometimes it’s hard to pretend all that stuff about passion and creativity for your young adults.[/quote]
