Honestly, the best thing they could do is surge normalcy, mental health support, joy and community to every MCPS student but mostly 12-18. I'm scared there is a ticking time bomb in moco right now--we were 48th in the country for in person school and school (until perhaps very recently and maybe even still) is a medicalized antisocial dystopian nightmare. You can't ruin three years of childhood and expect 100% of kids to come out as functioning adults.
What are you rambling about? Your kids childhoods weren't ruined by MCPS. If they were miserable in virtual or being at home, maybe you should fix what is going at home. Most students have been in person all year so stop blaming covid for all the MCPS problems. Maybe you should look at what's going on at home vs. school.
