Just wait until the minimizers kids end up with long covid.
So what? It’s called life. Sh!t happens. I’m not hiding anymore.
+1. You do realize that "long covid" is an American phenomenon, right? How come the rest of the world doesn't seem to be impacted by this, and why does it mysteriously plague middle age suburban women with gluten intolerances the hardest?
Um, no.
The NHS in England has a whole website dedicated to Covid recovery, and specific post-Covid centers set up for diagnosis and treatment of ongoing post-Covid symptoms: https://www.yourcovidrecovery.nhs.uk/your-road-to-recovery/when-do-i-need-to-seek-help/. They seem to be avoiding using the as-yet-imprecisely-defined term “Long Covid,” but they’re definitely acknowledging that there’s a pervasive issue with lingering symptoms, including the typical concerns seen after an extended stay in intensive care. As they note, many symptoms are similar to the after-effects of other viral infections, but it does seem that they’re dealing with enough of these patients that they’ve had to put structures in place to deal with them. I suspect there’s also a research component to these centers, so they can gather data and try to determine the true extent and nature of the problems.
