[/quote] I am very generous with my time and donations to charity. However, this is for the family to figure out. Part time job for the kid, community college, and loans all come to mind. Parents could budget their discretionary spending, too. By not giving them money, they'll figure it out. It's truly a Life Lesson. OP gave them advice and they've ignored it.
