I was the opposite. I liked the first couple episodes, introducing the characters, but then felt like it went off the rails. Without giving away too much, dumping champagne down a sewer grate while doing coke? taking a homeless alcoholic to a big pitch meeting?  It didn't make sense. I much preferred Somebody, Somewhere. I thought the bringing her alcoholic dad to the pitch was brilliant commentary on how far we let white men with confidence get. And what a sham "sales" is in most industries. She cleaned him up, changed his name, and he got into the role of confident salesman and killed it. I'm in a male-dominated industry and the whole thing didn't seem unbelievable to me, given whom I've seen rise to the top of my industry. [/quote]

+1 to all of this, plus that character was in his element. Drinking and bullshitting are the only things he’s good at.[/quote]
