She only reached nation wide stardom when 'Loving You' came out in 1974. She died in 1979. She only had two singles that made the charts, "Loving You" (reached #1) and the follow-up off the same album (her only album to reach gold), "Inside My Love" (reached #76). Minnie was fantastic, but I don't think many people had heard of her before her only hit song. I think Maya is much more of a household name than her mother ever had a chance to be, probably due to her untimely death. [/quote]
