The addition is starting this summer. They're is no parking now and staff routinely has to park on the street. They're answer is to take away 50 staff parking places and not replacing it [/quote]

The community activists told the county the park across the street was more important than parking.  They apparently expect staff to ride bikes or park in the neighborhood and get tickets. [/quote]

Or, perhaps, there are other solutions to parking than paving over a park.

Great, Alexandra City has ONE high school, Fairfax has 20+. It’s also on a major road and not tucked back into a neighborhood. The parking lot was proposed to be on a small part of the park and for that use FCPS was going to fix up the park which is currently a mess. Instead, we are back to square one and teachers and students will have at least another year with insufficient facilities. [/quote]

Teachers are leaving Justice left and right, and their solution is to take away their already maxed out parking. Nothing will recruit teachers and boost morale like parking a  half mile plus away and having to walk to work.[/quote]
