Ask your K-8 if they pay teachers to write letters of recommendation for 8th graders but not younger grades applying out. Ask your K-8 if teachers are allowed to send their letters directly to the schools 8th graders are applying to or if it passes through their “gatekeeper”. K-8 admins not only change grades on report cards but they also highly edit letters of recommendations and checklists for applications. [/quote] You needed the editor.[/quote]
