No issues means no issues. I'm 44 now and I think if the sky were going to fall in on me just because I do not claim to be black. I don't consider it "passing" this is simply who I am.
So fo you consider yourself to be biracial? Or just white? Has anyone ever asked you of you were biracial?
I am biracial, but I identify white. I get the biracial question the most from AA, who then get really offended and try to tell me about this "one drop makes you black" rule. I tell them slavery is over, welcome to 2012.
If I understand you correctly, you look white. You look like a white woman with no color, ala Jennifer Beale and Vin Diesel. Therefore it is quite easy to say you are white. However, I don't think you would get away with that if you had color in you, such as Halle Berry, Barack Obama, Tiger Woods, Alicia Keyes. I know that both Black and White people would react differently with them saying they are white. You are correct, you are free to choose whichever race that preference you. That does not mean that other people will necessarily accept becuas that is what you choose. Do you really think Barack could have said he ws white and the media, the other politicians, and the American people would not have been all over him. He would have been at the very least labeled a denial.
