I cook 1/2 c oatmeal in 1 cup water and eat it plain with my coffee, which is 10oz, 1 tsp sugar and a bit of whole milk. That is breakfast #1. My second breakfast is typically eggs, toast with butter and fruit. I have 2 small lunches and 1 small dinner. If I ate as much oatmeal and additions as you, op, I'd have a terrible stomach ache.
Holy cow PP - that is a lot of food. Are you male or female? Or are you an athlete? also how old are you?
I'm 57M, and I eat 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 cup water (nuked in microwave) plus 3 eggs with melted cheese, bacon, and coffee as my usual breakfast. This is to give me energy for my 6am workout 5x a week. The only thing I'll say against oatmeal is that it doesn't lead to lasting satiation. If I eat just the eggs and bacon, I'll be full until lunch, but if I eat the oatmeal as well, then I'll be ravenous at 11am.
Funny you should say that. I'm 56, Female, workout in the morning 6x a week. Oatmeal leaves me hungry 30 mins after eating it. I have to do mostly protein to stay satiated.
