It sure seems like many affluent in Bethesda/ Potomac, Chevy Chase are exiting MCPS in droves. Has anyone else observed this happening?
There's no evidence to support this. People seem to be happy with the exception of a few far-right posters that like to stir up trouble.
Didn’t MCPS release numbers last year that showed numbers were down? No one seems happy with the MAP scores that were released (at least they shouldn’t be) I’m all for a debate of whether MCPS can pull things back together, but to say it’s just a bunch of whiny parents is sticking your head in the sand.
She didn't. She said it was one whiny parent with a right wing agenda. I agree. But I wanted to thank you, whiny parent with a right wing agenda. You provide me with literally hours of free entertainment. And you're great for my writer's block. Say something more dumb again. Come on! Ya know you want (have?) To do it?
It’s not one whiny parent. You just hurl insults with nothing to back it up. Again, I’m up for a civilized debate if you need to practice your writing skills. MCPS numbers literally show enrollment is down. It’s impossible to tell whether those people who left are wealthy or not.
Apologies. Civilized people are so bougie. The person who said there are similar complaints in the VA school threads is the wisest one in our virtual room.
Oh. I didn’t realize the title of the thread was are VA schools doing better? Oh wait, it’s not. It’s about comparing MCPS public to private. Not MCPS to another district.
Actually the title of the thread wasn’t about comparing MCPS to any other district or private. The folks in the thread tried to make it about that. Further, comparing MCPS to private is a worthless as there are too many variables, starting with size, population, regulations, and the fact that public can always be a backup to private bit the other is not at all true.
