Birth control frees women from male dominance.  Female biology is no longer female destiny.  Motherhood and dependence on males to provide for you while you care for your offspring are not longer a woman't only choices.  Shaking the foundations of centuries-old, millenia-old social and economic rules and relationships.

In other words, women can compete with men.  Look at how women are getting more degress.  Look how men have suffered more in the recession.  Men now have to increasingly share power with women in every sphere (except religion maybe).  Of course that pisses off people who are used to privelege- gender-based privelege.  [/quote]
