Is there an equivalent health advantage to condoms? Insurance companies arent PROVIDING BIRTH CONTROL. They cover it, like any other pharmaceutical. The issue is whether institutions can selectively decide not to cover certain conditions and medications that happen to be exclusively used by women. That is not "special treatment"--it's biology.
