Not an inferiority complex...just some non-DC biased objectivity. It's not Andover...or Exeter...or Groton...or Choate...hell, it's not even Deerfield ffs. It's just a private school in DC that DC insiders -- and only DC insiders -- care about.[/quote]

Well, OK, PP. To take your reasoning one step further, the case can be made that any temp relocation to America is a hardship posting. After all, NYC/ Boston are not Paris, Vienna or London.

But, if one finds themselves forced to serve in the WH Admin or be in charge of any number of US Gov't agencies ( FBI, CIA, DHS, USDOJ ) or are a Pulitzer nominated journalist writing about some aspect of the Wash based power dynamic or just a influential partner in a long standing white shoe DC law firm, then STA is there to provide a great education for your son.
