I went for the first time recently. I expected it to be more expensive than it was, since I always hear that it is so nice. While there was lots of convenience foods, I was surprised that the actual grocery part seemed almost like a warehouse and very limited. But I was at the Tyson’s one and read that it’s grocery footprint was smaller than others. I was trying to figure out if it was worth going again. I found the convenience foods pretty reasonably priced, but not that great tasting (not bad, just not worth going for alone). I loved their olives and bagels.
The Tysons one is super tiny and they limit what they carry. You need to hit one of the main locations. The Tysons one is for the lunch crowd primarily to go and pick up a salad.
OP here - I went to the Tyson's location so maybe that was part of it. Half the store seemed to be prepared foods (which looked tasty for a single person or couple grabbing dinner but didn't really work for family meals as much). If I go again I will look for their store brands for grocery items, produce, and cheese/deli/bakery/prepared foods maybe only a little bit since it's so pricey.
