My kids are in AP world history and AP euro, respectively, and neither teacher has even mentioned this much less encouraged discussion. Thank you, MCPS rote learning!
The history teacher at DD’s private distributed educational materials around the Russian invasion of Ukraine and they are discussing at school.
For $30k/year I can have my own discussions with my kids 😜. But that is a good example of you get what you pay for.
. We are very happy with what we pay for - Glad both going on here - talks at home and talks at school. Teens need to discuss wider events with their peers as well. We have used both public and private - the same school is not right for every student, and often they have different needs at different stages of their k-12 education . I love living in an area with good public and private options. It is not either or.
