The vaccine is protective against serious illness which is possible though rare in kids. The risks of the vaccine are still lower than risks of covid even though all risks are low. mRNA vaccines are actually pretty well studied with large sample sizes at this point. Also, vaccines do reduce the rate of transmission even if they do not eliminate it. It’s interesting. I get that there’s a worry about undiscovered long term risks of the vaccine, but I feel the same way about covid.[/quote]
