I’d like an answer to the question too. If You are arguing that contraception is STATES RIGHTS, does that mean MIshould have the right to outlaw contraception?
Again, the cons on this board are waiting for Tucker or Ben Shapiro to give them their talking points so they can come and regurgitate them here. So far, yes, that’s what they’re trying to argue without pinning themselves down. In other words, mainstream Republicans don’t think women should have any control over their lives if they’re born in a red state, mainstream Republicans are opposed to contraception.
+1. It’s a not well thought out position. For two reasons. One, contraception is medication regulated by the federal government. And we don’t let states decide that certain medication the is FDA approved can’t be prescribed. So now, it isn’t a states rights issue. It’s a federal regulatory issue. And more importantly. They seems to be saying states 100% can ban contraception— and should have the right to ban contraception. But don’t worry little missy, they never actually would. Which given that Roe stood for 50 years and SCOTUS is letting citizens collect bounties on abortions at 6 weeks, isn’t that convincing. More 99% of sexually active women in the US have used contraception at some point. So, it seems like this is a case of, when you are in a hole, stop digging. But no. MI amen will keep arguing the should be able to ban contraception. But, of course they wouldn’t, wink, wink, nod, nod.
