Its helpful when you and your spouses are millionaires who can afford to not work for the early years or only as you choose plus all the help you want, fly out grandparents for months.

People thought I was crazy for working my tail off for (a fraction) of the millions she had from 24 - 36. But by the time I had my first kid at 37...spouse and I both quit our jobs for a full year (well, he consulted occasionally) and I don't do anything now but focus on family + home with the rest of my money in trust in case I need it later in life. Yeah that’s nice for you but even after working for over a decade few people are in a position to have both partners take a year off to be home with a kid.  That’s a rare situation.[/quote]
