Moronic governor's incompetence has been on display in his first month. He could have just asked for legislative action instead of picking that stupid fight with school boards. Now, how do we get Chap Peterson thrown out of office? 10% to recall him right?
Funny - you had no problem when Democrats like Peterson were sponsoring legislation to force schools statewide to remain open regardless of rising cases. Now its masks - its an issue?
I absolutely had a problem. Difference is Petersen is my senator. I can actually do something about him. I am gobsmacked by Youngkin's missteps, though. What a rank amateur who has surrounded himself by clowns.
Actually I'd say he's winning. He came out against school mask mandates within days of taking office. And now a new bill and amendment with BIPARTISAN SUPPORT is passing lightening fast in his state assembly supporting his ban on masks. Youngkin is looking prescient and proactive. Unlike someone else in a white house that is exactly...18 miles from his family farm. The Biden team could take some lessons on supporting effective and needed policies not just wishlists which get no support across the aisle.
This is what's wrong with you (and him) right here. You want to "win" because you think this is a culture war to be "won." The rest of us -- i.e., the vast majority of people in this area who voted AGAINST Youngkin in November (and it was a "vast" majority) just care about our kids. You're so obsessed with "winning." Like this is a game and you're on a team. And this is why Petersen needs to pay a political price. He obviously worked against the wishes of his constituents. Maybe he did that since he's got a couple of years left in office and thinks we will forget. But we won't.
x1 million Stop politicizing the pandemic FFS.
Oh please - the White House is signaling that they are getting to ease up on pandemic restrictions and Dem Givernors including New York and California are eliminating mask mandates this month. You wanted your kids in-person learning, you got it.
Because many students are now vaccinated/boosted and numbers are dropping from the most recent surges (delta/omicron).
Exactly! Republicans were stupidly fighting masks and vaccines when vax rates were still low, when hospitalizations and deaths were sky high. It didn't make sense then. But now that a lot more Americans are vaccinated, now that the hospitalizations and deaths are dropping it is safer to lessen restrictions and mandates. It's mind boggling that Republicans don't seem to understand any of that.
They are dumb AF.
