The child is a dependent of a G-4 holder. Children of G-4s are eligible to apply for green cards after a certain number of consecutive years of living in the US. When it applied to me in the 90s, it was 7 years and the clock only starting counting at age 5. So when I was 12, all we had to do was the paperwork with school records showing the proof of time in the U.S. and I was awarded a green card. [/quote]
