The transit center and basically 90% of the problems during Legetts terms were actually Doug Duncan’s fault. People forget but Duncan raised funds and personally recruited an “end gridlock slate” on the council that included Silverman, Floreen and Leventhal. George Leventhal may pretend to be a liberal champion now, but his career started being in bed with Steve Silverman and he was instrumental in eliminating SSP requirements for developers to pay for roads and other infrastructure where they built homes. It’s actually quite funny that these “smart growth” pro-Thrive folks don’t understand that Leventhal is personally responsible for the sprawl in this county.

Ike Leggett was a dignified man who did a good job for this county during a very, very difficult time. He steered us through the financial crisis while cleaning up the mess that Doug Duncan left. [/quote]
