I guess replacing police with public safety engineers/associates doesn't really work. Baltimore has followed a similar path. Murder rates on par with Iraq. Over 1000 murdered in 3 years.
Has any city actually “replaced police with public safety engineers/associates?”
Anybody who wants to see 2024 go back to Trump should be absolutely giddy about the massive spike in crime. Sit back and enjoy it. The left (by way of social media) got what they wanted and now police are avoiding high risk stops where there is a increased likelihood of use of force. The results are as clear as they were predictable. Don't even get started about 'smash and grab'. It's incumbent upon the right to play dirty in 2024 and make sure that the Democrat's eat the full brunt of this massive spike in crime and frame their platform around 'Defund the Police'. By then there will be several years of skyrocketing crime stats to pack into campaign commercials. Let the left go on about bringing social workers to deal with violent criminals and dissect every shooting on Twitter by saying 'they could have shot him in his pinky toe' or 'why didn't they just shoot the knife out of her hand?' or 'they could have just tazed him'... Ultimately, humans are bottom line oriented creatures. I've reached the unfortunate conclusion that this is just one of those things where it will have to get much, much worse before it gets better. It will get better in 2024. Until then, enjoy threads like these and the occasional segment on CNN where somebody dares to point out certain trends....
So your answer is no, I take it. No city has actually “replaced police with public safety engineers/associates.” You’re just going to lie and say they have.
