Because if even you would agree that it’s more than zero, then don’t we have some responsibility to ensure that those claims are investigated, so that we can identify the true ones?[/quote]

I'm neither of those posters, but I am a mother to two sons. What's being decried here, imo, isn't that false claims happen (we know they do) but that certain people on this thread, and presumably in real life, have already convicted the boys when they haven't been charged. That's wrong. It's illegal too. It's called slander.

The attitude seems to be- hey, it could be true so let's just trash them. If I were you I'd teach your daughter to hold her tongue unless she has indisputable proof something happened.

It is statements like this that make it so hard for victims (male or female) to come forward. You are part of the problem.
