Mine walked early and didn’t like sitting still, so if I’d tried to put her in a chair for long enough for me to have a nice meal with my parents, either I would have to spend the whole time amusing her and/or there would have been crying/kicking/squirming/projectiles. And even if she did end up being good, I would be constantly worrying about a potential meltdown inconveniencing other diners. YMMV depending on the kid/your social anxiety levels, of course! But takeout is just so much less stressful for me, so that’s what I do.[/quote]
