Texas is even more red than when Beto ran for Senate. State lawmakers are switching parties from Dem to Republican because of the craziness of the left. Hispanics are voting more and more red. Beto has no real chance. He needs to try to find a job suited to him.... not sure what that is.
It’s turning more red because of gerrymandering. The guy switched parties so he could save his seat. - Texan.
DP. He switched because he was generally voting in favor of Republican initiatives. So now he’ll be voting “his truth,” as liberals love to say. At a Floresville news conference joined by Gov. Greg Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont, Guillen said the Democratic Party fell out of step with his core beliefs, particularly his opposition to abortion and support for gun rights and fiscal conservatism. "The ideology of defunding the police, destroying the oil and gas industry and opening our border has disastrous consequences for those of us who live in South Texas," said Guillen, who spent 19 years as a House Democrat. “I have found that my core beliefs align with the Republican Party. I am confident that my switch today is the right decision," he said. https://www.statesman.com/story/news/2021/11/15/texas-representative-ryan-guillen-switches-republican-party/8626253002/
