I don't care.  No so-called "lifelong democrat" turns on the party and supports Youngkin on the single issue of schools being closed for too long WHEN THEY WERE LONG AGO REOPENED. [/quote]

Where do you think this line of argument is going to lead you?  You can accept reality, or not.  I don't vote in Virginia, but if I did, I would not have voted for Youngkin. But the schools issue was entirely likely to erode D votes. You can claim that this is just a cover for racism all you want, but I'm not sure where that belief is going to get you.  Step outside your bubble for a second and realize how totally bizarre it is to a lot of people to be simultaneously the party shutting down schools, and the party that claims it cares about working families and closing educational gaps.  Dems lost A LOT of credibility. [/quote]
