(a) The league will probably have to approve the sale.  Michelle is offering more?  Perhaps TSJ and the $16M is the starting point.  What is certain is that they are entering into a due-diligence phase now or soon.  If the league charter has it established that they have to approve the sale - then it's on the NWSL to say yes or no.  Perhaps it is a bad look to allow a sale for less to someone else, BUT if it's legally possible - the NWSL can blame themselves.

(b) Just because RB and TT came from a soccer organization affiliated with TSJ should not paint TSJ owners as demons.  They are wonderful people, minorities (if anyone notes) and care deeply and invest in the community through sports and other ventures. Demonizing them for a soccer club in their control for hiring TT?  Nah....I don't see it.  I doubt they even know who Tom Torres is - step back and see the big picture.  If TT is a problem and that surfaces (as it will surely), I expect they will deal with it.  Do yourself a favor and research the owners/founders of TSJ

(c) FCV is just a club they own as part of their organization.  This will not elevate the club nor will it expand TSJ's footprint in the GA or provide entry to the ECNL  They have bigger things to worry about

(d) it's voting.  The 2 blocks owned by Baldwin and Lynch out-vote Michelle.  While we may not like it and some of us pull for Michelle to own the WS - the drag clause forces her to march along with the majority vote.  HERE IS THE KICKER: SHE SIGNED UP FOR THIS AND SIGNED THE DEAL THAT IS PERMITTING THIS TO HAPPEN TO HER.  Perhaps when she was invited by Baldwin for her 35% stake, she should have not agreed to this clause or put forth a different operating agreement.  She has nobody to blame but herself for her own signature. It's not about fair, it's about what is legal.

TSJ is a good option.  We will see how it plays out.  One final note - regardless of what you want - what is going to happen is going to happen.

Everyone relax.  Give it time.  We need and deserve a team like the Washington Spirit.  They deserve and owner that will provide a facility for them without the BS that the United have put them through.

The leaders at TSJ either approached or were approached. Just because the money is from some investment firm or equity group, someone wants to diminish the role of AA in the community. Ridiculous
