Why not?

No where in the laws does it say that, if the defender gets the ball first, there is no foul. So just keep that in mind. A player can get to the ball and still foul. So many people yell….but he got the ball. Just saying. [/quote]

Exactly.  This exact play happened this weekend where Pogba got a red card when he got the ball.  The ref initially called it as a yellow, but then went to red upon VAR review.
