+1. If you don’t find the scathing and catty dialogue funny I doubt you’d enjoy the show. It’s not a show about good guys saving the day or pretty people falling in love, it’s about selfish rich people, witty dialogue, and greedy people being greedy. [/quote]

It’s not very witty though.

VEEP case was witty as f—k.  Schitt’s Creek was hilarious.

Nobody is attractive in Succession on top of being dumb, slow characters.

I imagine that scene, and Roman’s scene before it, are supposed to be gross and ridiculous. I don’t think there was any intention of making these scenes look like a “cinematic masterpiece”.
