We recently moved from a place by the highway to be somewhere quiet and I was shocked that it feels like we are right by the airport while being many miles away and supposedly ( looking at maps) NOT in the flight path... It's literally 30 sec of peace at most I get between the planes all day long! It's crazy, I cannot believe people pay so much money to live in what used to be the plague of marginal and poor neighborhoods that tend to be near the airports.
