the other thing you could do,  would be to reactivate an old cell phone.  and hide it in the car. and do the same "share location" with your phone.  this will give you real time as long as the phone is active.  but you'd still need to charge the phone periodically

if you ant real time tracking,  you will need to have real time monitoring, which means basically having cell service subscription

why does this scare you.  the tools are there to be tracked...

you'd never ever see the fruits of your labor,  but  if you could use a small gauge needle to inject some hot sauce into the condom wrapper, with out damaging the condom.   someone would be in for a "hot time"
