This is inaccurate. Duke is still adored by rich teens at my kid's high school with no affiliation to the college. They're good colleges, obviously, but I've literally never seen any teen adore Northwestern or UChicago. And your Durham disses are about 20 years stale. What is the Research Triangle? What did North Carolina's census numbers look like compared to Chicago? North Carolina is booming, Chicago overall is basically stagnant. Obviously Rust Belt flyover country college grads still pour into Chicago — but even that draw is being dinged by the rise of Nashville, Denver, and kids preferring the warmer Sun Belt.[/quote]
