I’m a human doctor and most people also think I’m rich and that they know more than me! They will stand in the yard of our modest townhouse howling about the exorbitant salaries that doctors make. I particularly enjoy it when they make more than me (ahem, lawyers!) while working fairly normal hours from home during Covid.

I rarely look at and almost never comment on the health board. If I do comment, it’s because things have spun out of control and someone is getting horrific advice. This  is surprisingly common. People in the DC area are so book smart, but many simply do not understand how the human body works, and run to the doctor for every little thing. Which is ironic because google is apparently smarter than doctors.

I will say that my friend who is a lawyer at homeland security gets way more grief than me. A few years ago, some of the people at the pool would get in his face and start yelling at him about kids in cages. That was uncomfortable.[/quote]
