Peter Luger’s can’t be too bad, it’s nearly impossible to get a decent reservation there.

+1. I’m sure it’s fine, but it has a reputation for being a tourist trap.  My NyC friends prefer Keen’s for steak.  It’s on 36th street in Manhattan.[/quote]

I’ve been to most of the well known independent steakhouses in NYC (except for Luger’s). Keen’s, imho, was on the lower end. Perhaps it was an off night, not sure. And, to be fair, I always order a porterhouse so that I can have some basis of comparison. [/quote]

Keens is on more than one best steakhouse in NYc list.  Its reviews are far better than Peter Luger.[/quote]
