My 16 year old DD has been bleeding almost non-stop since getting her second shot. While she has always had short cycles and heavy and prolonged periods, this is obviously concerning. Her ped won't see her until she sees a hematologist, which hopefully will be next week. I'm not freakimg out, but it is concerning. My first period after my J&J lasted almost 20 days, but I'm 53, so don't think much about my weird cycles--they're all over the place. I posted about my DD on a different thread about this topic and it was deleted, so I assume this one will be too, but I am not a troll. This is happening.
I’m so sorry for your DD and you (as a mom of course you worry). I’m so disheartened your post was deleted. Women being marginalized for symptoms is not new. I’ve experienced 4 cycles of painful ovulation since the vaccine - lay me out in bed painful. Never had that before in my life. My friend also bled for 6 weeks straight after hers. I hope it resolves for your DD very soon. And I hope there are some in the medical community who are studying this (my OB seemed to indicate this was the case) so we can learn more.
