Says who? Capital 22 Blue players and presumably Pride 22 Black players should certainly have the d1 option. Capital doesn't seem to be forthcoming with their 22 commits for whatever reason. The '23s should have an idea already if d1's are looking at them.
Capital never publishes a list of "commits" until after the girls sign their NLI's - they don't even have all of their 2021 commits listed on the website yet even though they have signed, and this class was arguably the best and deepest class they've had in quite some time. The previous poster who mentioned the 3 main things you need is spot on. Capital, more than any other club in this area, has the cache with the colleges, and they will get you into the right tournaments and top brackets. That is where the benefits stop, IMO. The "Recruiting Director" is more like a traffic cop, and the coaching, like with all clubs is hit or miss. But, they have a track record of putting girls in top schools and that is worth something. But get good grades, be proactive about emailing and attending on campus clinics and camps where you have serious interest, and above all else be realistic. This last piece is the hardest, and most club coaches and directors aren't completely upfront with kids when they are younger because they don't want to lose the revenue stream. But you need to have the right academic and lacrosse expectations that fit your kids capabilities, or this process will be extremely disappointing and frustrating.
So Capital is worth leaving Pride for from a recruiting perspective? That’s what you hear.
