Maine's vaccination rates are among the top 5 in the country and the state had a lower rate of COVID than DC throughout the entire pandemic. Personally I think they're just being lazy and not thinking things through because the only people practically impacted are elementary school children.  It's just like the no notice Juneteenth school closing.  The people in charge don't care because almost every other population can just ignore it because of prohibitions on asking about vaccination status.[/quote]
