An earlier pp said she was the talk of Jewish and Orthodox forums which makes sense to me given the show is controversial. I am on episode 2 and have issues with her (why can't Bat have her own beliefs and work her marriage her way? Miriam seems heavily influenced by mom which seems like another form of brainwashing) and I was raised as a Baptist but am not very religious.

The ultra orthodox community is very well connected. Many people attended the Bais yaakov of Monsey plays she performed it. She was well known, many people know her. I'm not close to her or her family or anything [/quote]
