I was shocked the DFB kept him on.

The problem with Germany is they simply play too slowly. Too purposeful and risk averse on offense. Too much two touch and not enough one touch. Too much lateral and backwards and not enough penetrating. England is a bit similar tactically, but has superior talent and has a much better defense, so they’ve been able to get away with it so far.
