Wow, OP you are pretty nasty. Those parents can mourn whichever way they want and considering their strong religious views, any moron can figure out that they consider this the death of their baby and not a simple miscarriage. Like another poster said, NOBODY would have noticed the obit "Negative Nancy" had not posted it.
You have clearly never had a miscarriage. There is no such thing as a simple miscarriage. Anybody who has felt the thrill of getting two lines on a pregnancy test and started imagining what the future would be like feels the loss of a that possibility, whether or not they would use the words "death of their baby." The Duggars can do what they like for their own reasons, but it is not unreasonable for the rest of us to notice that their actions go against societal norms.
Actually, I've had 3. You need to critically read. Posters before me were referring to this as a simply miscarriage, but with much less sensitivity, referring to it as a 3inch fetus (or embryo). Their actions might go against YOUR societal norms, but if you have ever watched the show then you would already know that the Duggars do everything outside of society's norms. Your lights are on, anyone home? In case you were not aware, they are Christian Fundamentalists. I'm not sure why people are so shocked that the Duggars are treating this pregnancy loss just the same as the death of a baby. Have any of you EVER taken an anthropology class or do you just think that we live in an homogenous culture?
Female genital mutilation is also cultural. Does that make it right?
There is no such thing as absolute truth. So who are you to judge what is right and what is wrong?
Anyone with common sense is a good judge as to what's right and what's wrong.
