Never say never. In December 1967, LBJ had a lock on the DEM nomination. Things went south and on March 31, 1968 LBJ shocked the nation when he announced he would not run for re-election by concluding with the line: "I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President" Not saying BO will do the same, but if things become even worse in the next few months it is possible. And Hillary would be the logical candidate. Not likely, but possible.
OMG we know we know. Some of us were alive then. But this isn't Vietnam, the party is not split like then, and this is not LBJ fearing he would not live through his second term of office due to illness. This is a president who has accomplished a lot of his agenda but who has a stagnant economy slowing him down. He's got a number of disappointed lefties, but they are people who could never vote Republican. Anything can happen, but I'm not headed to the NBA and Obama is not going to step down.
