My mom said Law-ra and would get so mad at my paternal grandparents (her in-laws) for pronouncing it Lore-a. I have had someone say it's only an accent thing and it's mostly northeastern accents that say Law-ra, but my mom was from Savannah and in laws from NH so...[/quote]
