I agree with others that suggest you just try it and see how draconian they really are at masks (spoiler:  they won't be). Unless you seriously think they will do time outs and yelling as &quot;discipline&quot; for a 2 year old, because that is not developmentally appropriate. In that case, you should start over on your daycare search, and re-evaluate your criteria in order to exclude places that would do that.

I'm not in your county, so we don't have a mask mandate.  I think my county is mandated &gt; 12, recommended &gt; 5 or maybe it is &gt; 2. My 2 year old is great at wearing one for brief periods, so he could wear it if we took him to a store.  They are &quot;recommended&quot; at school, but in practice, the little ones wear them at pickup and drop off (they only time the classes are exposed to each other), then maybe for the first 15 minutes of the day.  Then they have breakfast, and no one puts a mask back on until pick up.  The teachers are masked (and vaccinated).  I think this is probably pretty common, even with a mandate, except they may make more effort to put them back on inside, when not eating or napping.  That really ends up not to be very long at all.[/quote]
