I understand there is not a proven link between playing with toy guns and committing gun violence as an adult, but we are living in a time when 100+ people in our country are killed by guns every single day. In our house, imaginative gun play (with a stick or lego or something) is ok, but I just won't buy anything that looks like a gun. I've explained my reasoning to our son, and he knows he isn't forbidden from playing with them at other houses, but at least I know he knows how much I care about it. [/quote]
