It’s not strange, and not unlike any other vaccines. The side effects are significant because it’s a robust vaccine and the body mounts a very robust immune response very quickly. It’s expected. They’re normal side effects, not adverse events. And the rate and severity of various reported side effects is very similar to those of the shingles vaccine.

It’s this subtle but pervasive uninformed anti-vaccine propaganda (like saying it’s experimental, untested, etc) that is so insidious. Truly, it is keeping people from getting the vaccine. It’s infuriating to me living in a county (in Oregon) that’s going into a third lockdown on Friday. Thousands of doses at the freakin’ drive through vaccine site are going unused because people will b*tch endlessly about our “commie” governor trying to keep hospitals from being overloaded but refuse to get the vaccine. She even fudged the metrics for a couple weeks to keep us out of “Extreme Risk” to avoid another lockdown but these morons can’t get their sh*t together, wear a mask and get the damn vaccine.
