Non-feeder kids get into DCI because not all kids from the feeders continue onto DCI as discussed above. The Spanish track takes the lowest amount of non-feeder kids in the lottery. Chinese takes the highest which is not surprising since not really practical or widely spoken like Spanish. Once the expansion grades from these schools reach time to go to DCI, then much less non-feeder kids will get spots. [/quote]
