Since March of 2020 APS K-12 enrollment has declined by 1308 students. https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/U-Mem_281_Membership-Summary-All.pdf https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/U-MEM_281_Membership-Summary-All_4_8_2020.pdf
Vast majority of this is missing K and some elemntary kids. Middle school is down just 140 kids; high school down like 50 kids. Most kids in APS are staying in APS.
Fact check on aisle 9, please. In Arlington right now, if you can afford private, you're going private next year. I don't know many who are staying at APS willingly.
No way, a ton of Lyon Village parents are all going to ASFS (we have our first virtual meeting this month), and they could all easily afford private.
What are you talking about? I’m at asfs and know maybe 30 families that went private this year, none have any intention of coming back before middle school. All Lyon village. Must be east Lyon village versus west Lyon village :)
Are there even 30 families in LV zoned for ASFS? There are only 800 homes in LV. https://www.mansionglobal.com/articles/arlington-virginias-lyon-village-feels-like-norman-rockwell-on-a-generous-budget-212234
