The DCUM 'tards will tell you that she did not do the right ECs, you should give others (like the girl in the OP) a chance,  and you should be happy with her outcomes..  I've seen other posts where they refer to the american uni selection process as "american exceptionalism"!?!  Euphemism-much?

I don't like "what you did wrong" posts as they are not helpful, and this kid sounds amazing, and I am sure she is and will thrive where she goes...  And I offer this for the future prospective applicants only:

Many college counselors will tell you if you are applying to 7 Ivies you can't possibly make a case in your application that you are perfect for any one of them.  Are they right?  I don't know, but with so many super applicants even the tiniest weakness can cost you all of it.

If you are hellbent on "any ivy", pick one of the ones that has ED, and work hard to make sure that college knows you are a perfect fit for them and why.[/quote]
