Cheap about personal care stuff. Cheap clothes for adults only when needed, nothing trendy (I spend way too much on the kids), I haven’t bought a purse in a decade. Basic haircuts once or twice a year for me and every couple months for DH and kids as needed. Zero spa or beauty treatments, only cheap drug store skin and hair products. No or minimal gifts for adults for birthdays, cheap wine and beer. Basic used cars, no fancy electronics. We bought the cheapest house in the best area we could afford with the plan of eventually adding on or tearing down, but for now our housing cost is lower than what we could afford.
